What happens after you book

Four steps from your first assessment into supervised training on the gym floor.

  1. Bring what you have

Surgeon's protocol, discharge notes, scans or reports if you have them, plus your health fund card if you plan to claim.

  2. Your assessment

Your physiotherapist spends 45 to 60 minutes on your injury, movement, strength and goals.

  3. Your program

You leave with your rehab program in the Adapt app and a plan for supervised sessions and physio reviews.

  4. Supervised sessions

You train on the gym floor while our team supervises each session and your physiotherapist reviews progress at agreed intervals.

From assessment to the gym floor

Your physiotherapist writes the program and reviews it as you progress, and the supervised sessions between those reviews happen on the same North Sydney gym floor where our coaching team works every day.

Questions about booking

See live times

What happens at the gym-based physio assessment?

Your physiotherapist asks about your injury and goals, tests how you move and how strong you are, and starts treatment where it helps. You leave with your program in the Adapt app and a plan for supervised sessions.

How long is the first assessment?

Usually 45 to 60 minutes. Your physiotherapist confirms the length when you book if you are unsure which appointment type to choose.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to book at Adapt. If your fund asks for a GP referral before it pays a rebate, get it before your first appointment and bring it with you.

When do supervised gym sessions start?

After your assessment, your physiotherapist sets your program and the team arranges supervised sessions around your reviews. The first booking online is always the clinical assessment.

How do I change or cancel my booking?

Call or email us at least 24 hours before your appointment to move or cancel it with no fee. Changes inside 24 hours may be charged the full appointment fee.

Is gym experience required?

No. Your program starts from where you are, and our team shows you each exercise and sets up the equipment with you during supervised sessions.
