Back Pain & Sciatica
Most back pain responds well to exercise. At Adapt we assess your movement patterns, figure out what's actually driving your pain, and build a loading program around that. No passive treatment, no generic stretches.
How we treat it
We start by understanding your presentation — what makes it worse, what helps, what you've tried before. Then we build a progressive loading program targeting spinal stability, hip and posterior chain strength, and activity modification where needed. The goal is to get you stronger, not just less painful.
Best for
- Chronic lower back pain that hasn't responded to passive treatment
- Disc-related pain and sciatica
- Post-surgical lumbar rehab
- Desk workers with recurring back issues
Not for
- Acute spinal cord injuries — these need emergency care
- Patients who need surgical assessment first

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a fair concern. We start conservatively and progress based on your response. For most back pain, getting stronger is the best thing you can do. We build that load gradually.
Not necessarily. Most scans for back pain find things that are completely normal for your age and aren't actually causing your symptoms. We assess your movement and load tolerance first. If imaging would change our management, we'll say so.
