Physio for Sydney CBD workers, a short Metro ride north
Adapt is a short Metro ride north of the city, so physiotherapy can fit around the working day, before work, at lunch or on the way home. Your physiotherapist can also carry the plan into supervised gym work when that suits your rehab, and you can book without a referral.

Treatment and training that fit around the working week
Your first appointment covers the assessment and the start of treatment, and the exercises that follow are set for the places you actually train, whether that is the Adapt gym, an office gym or home, so the plan fits around meetings rather than competing with them.

Getting here from the city
Allow a little extra time on your first visit so you can find the clinic and check in before your appointment starts.
Ride the Metro north
From Martin Place or Barangaroo, ride the Metro north to Victoria Cross, the first stop north of the harbour.
Walk to the clinic
From Victoria Cross Metro, the walk to Adapt usually takes about 5 to 7 minutes through North Sydney streets.
Or take the train
North Sydney station, on the line from Town Hall and Wynyard, is about a 10 minute walk to the clinic.
Check in a bit early
Arrive a few minutes before your first appointment so reception can confirm your details and you can settle in.
How much of the workday does an appointment take?
A first appointment usually runs 45 to 60 minutes and follow-ups usually run 30 to 45 minutes, plus the Metro ride and a short walk each way. Booking at the start or end of the day keeps time away from your desk down when your schedule allows.

Can I claim physio on the health cover I have through work?
If your extras cover includes physiotherapy, the clinic's location makes no difference to how the consult is claimed. Bring your health fund card to the appointment and check yearly limits with your fund before you book.
Fees and rebatesA plan that keeps moving between appointments
Exercises can be done at Adapt before or after work, at an office gym or at home, and each follow-up moves the plan on. When strength work is part of your rehab, gym-based physiotherapy keeps the supervised work under the same plan.

Questions from city workers
Book a physioDo you have a clinic in the Sydney CBD?
No. Adapt has one clinic and gym in North Sydney, a short Metro ride from the Sydney CBD. The same registered physiotherapists assess and treat you there, and you can book without a referral.
Can I come straight from the office?
Yes. Wear or bring clothes that let the physiotherapist see and move the area that is bothering you. If you are coming at lunch, allow time for the ride north and the walk from the station.
What if a meeting runs late and I need to move my appointment?
Give us at least 24 hours notice to move or cancel without a fee. Inside 24 hours, a late cancellation fee may apply, so call or email as soon as you know your schedule has changed.
Can I see the same physiotherapist at every appointment?
Yes. When you book online you can choose Sam or John, and follow-up times can stay with the same physiotherapist when their schedule allows. Tell reception if continuity matters for your plan.
Do I need a referral from a GP near work?
No. You can book physiotherapy at Adapt without a GP referral. If a GP or surgeon has already referred you, bring the letter and any scans to your first appointment.
Is there parking if I drive?
There is street parking on Clark Road and nearby streets if you drive instead of taking the Metro or train. Allow a few extra minutes to find a space before your appointment.
Not sure an appointment fits your week?
Tell us what is getting in the way of work or training and how your week is structured, and we will suggest whether a before-work, lunch or after-work time is realistic.
